Pawfect Guest Rescue was founded by three animal-loving friends—Clare Blessington, Emily Karol, and Molli Tierney—who share a deep passion for helping rescue animals find the loving homes they deserve. Together, they have fostered more than 100 dogs, gaining firsthand experience with the joys and challenges of helping animals heal, grow, and find their forever families. Through their years of fostering, they realized they wanted to create the kind of rescue they would want to foster with—one built on compassion, patience, transparency, and a genuine commitment to every animal in its care. Pawfect Guest Rescue was born from a shared belief that every animal deserves compassionate care, the time and patience to thrive, and the opportunity to find a loving forever home.

We’re a New Jersey-based, foster-focused rescue built around the idea that every animal we welcome into our care deserves to be seen as an individual. By placing animals in loving foster homes, we’re able to give them the time, attention, and support they need while we get to know who they truly are and help them find the right forever home.

For shelter animals especially, getting out of a stressful kennel and into a loving foster home can change everything. A foster home gives them a safe place to decompress, heal, and let their personalities shine. A dog who seems scared or shut down in a shelter might become the silliest dog you’ve ever met once they feel safe. A cat who hides in the back of a kennel might turn into the biggest cuddle bug. Those transformations are at the heart of why we foster.

Our work extends beyond individual animals, too. We’re building a community of people who care deeply about animal welfare and want to be part of creating positive change. Through fostering, education, advocacy, and community involvement, we hope to make it easier for more people to get involved and help animals in need.

And while we’re self-proclaimed dog girls, rescue had other plans for us. Somehow, our very first rescues were seven tiny kittens. It was a pretty good reminder that rescue doesn’t always go according to plan—and sometimes the animals choose you. So, we’re opening our hearts and our rescue family to cats, too. Because whether they have paws, claws, whiskers, or wagging tails, every animal deserves a safe place to land and someone in their corner.
